[New Generations]

2002-2003 report by Athol Jones

The year started off on a quiet note with little activity. Then there was the organising for the GO YOUTH Camp at Hotham in October 2002 which this year was turned into a four day camp as the Club didn't have a camp in March to contend with. We had 35 children this time. There was a lot of snow still there and come of the kids had never seen snow before and they really enjoyed it, as did the adults. The fishing trip went off well, but unfortunately there was no horse riding, however the snow seemed to make up for that. I would like to thank all the people who helped make it such a great success. The Club had three students attend the RYPEN camp this year and one of the participant, Simone Goodwin addressed the Club as a report back on the event. Disappointingly there was no interest expressed by school student for the Siemens Science Summer School.
