Objectives
"The aim of the Association is to encourage the physical, mental, social
and spiritual development of young people, so that they may take a constructive
place in society as responsible citizens." - Baden-Powell, Founder.
The 2nd Templestowe Group aims to promote the following ideals:
- Learn through participation in enjoyable activities.
- Develop a sense of sharing.
- Develop a sense of personal identity through exploration of their
surroundings and nature.
- Provide a means for personal expression.
- Develop a sense of belonging.
- Accept a Scout Promise and participate in activities which will expand
their understanding and experiences of the Scout Law.
- Develop an awareness of God.
- Develop a sense of responsibility for one's self and one's actions.
- Encourage progression to the next Section of the Scout Group.
- Develop an appreciation of the history and ideals of the Scout Movement.
