Welcome to the 2nd Templestowe Scout Group. The Group was formed in 1965 operating a cub and scout group. Three years later our Scout Hall was built in Dellfield Drive, Lower Templestowe. The Hall and surrounding park land are regarded as being the best in the district. Today the Group has Joey Scouts, Cubs, Scouts and Venturers, and is one of the strongest groups in the area.
Scouting is a growing world wide youth movement with over 25 million members and over 80,000 in Australia. Scouting focuses on young people from 6 to 26 years of age and provides them with opportunities for fun and adventure as well as helping them to develop skills, gain self-confidence and learn teamwork and initiative.
Young males and females can progress through the five Scouting sections Joey Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts, Venturers and Rovers, or can start in any section depending on their ages. Scouts are supported by a Group Committee made up of interested parents and other adults in the community. As Scouts gain maturity and experience, they are encouraged to take on more responsibility for organising and overseeing their own activities.
