An important component of the work we do at the Bureau is to assist those in the area who for various reasons have fallen through the 'safety net' of welfare and unemployment payments. Our goal is to meet their immediate needs and where possible offer assistance to address underlying causes.
We want to be able to go on supporting our local people where we can and as the demand for emergency relief increases, particularly around Christmas and school time, our capacity to support becomes stretched.
Please help to make a difference to someone else's life. Any donation that you make is very gratefully received.
Key arears of expenditure for funds donated include:
- Food Vouchers
- Emergency relief for school shoes, uniforms and books
- Payment of essential pharmaceuticals
- Assistance with petrol and travel tickets
Please be assured that any donation will be used in full to assist someone in need.
Whatever you have given, someone's situation will improve as a result.
Donations of $2.00 or more are tax deductible under section 78(1) (a) (ii) of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1936. Gifts are exempt from State Probate and Gift Duty and Federal Estate Duty.
