Saltwater
Welcome
to the Saltwater Children's Centre. The Centre was established in
1992 and is sponsored by the City of Maribyrnong. Qualified staff
provide a high quality standard of care and education for 45 children
throughout the Centre and there are 3 age groups as follows:
Star Room 6 months - 2 years
Sunshine Room 2 years - 3 years
Rainbow Room 3 years - 5 years

Hours
of Operation
7:30 am - 6:00 pm Monday to Friday and is open throughout the year.
The service is closed on public holidays and for a three week period
late December to mid-January.
Child
Minding Regulations
The Centre is in full compliance with the 2009 Children's Services Regulations
It
is recommended that all children be fully immunised. Information
will be provided to parents in regard to accessing the City of Maribyrnong
Immunisation Program
Committee
of Management
The Committee of Management meets monthly and all parents are welcome.
The
Centre looks forward to working in partnership with you to provide
the highest standard of care and education for you and your family.
Fees
Government funding is available to assist with your child care fees.
Daily Fee: from $27.42 to $69.00 per day
Weekly Fee: from $140.00 to $320.00
On enrolment a security fee equivalent to 2 weeks of full fees is payable.
Upon commencement of childcare fees are payable weekly. Eftpos and
direct deposit facilities are available and personal cheques are
accepted. The Centre has a "no-cash" policy. An administration
fee of $5.00 is applicable for the late payment of fees.
Childcare Benefit
The Childcare Benefit is available through the Family Assistance
Office (FAO) at Centrelink and is based on your combined gross weekly
income. Full entitlement is subject to work status and full immunisation
of your child. The Centre Manager will be pleased to advise and
assist you further.
Enrolment into Centre
The City of Maribyrnong operates a long day care placement Register
through the Children's Services Department and is maintained in
enrolment date order. This Centre can arrange your application into
the centralised register or you may contact the Children's Services
Department, City of Maribyrnong on 9688-0116.
Notice of Leaving the Centre:
Two weeks notice in advance.
Maternal Child Health & Immunisation:
It is recommended that all children be fully immunised. Your child's
immunisation details will be required on enrolment. Parents are
advised of the City of Maribyrnong's Maternal and Child Health services
and immunisations program. The Centre arranges referrals.
