Nutrition Policy

Rangeview Pre-School is committed to educating children and their parents/guardians about healthy food and healthy eating habits. The nutritional needs and/or dietary requirements of children will be appropriately catered for while they are attending the Pre-School. A flexible approach to serving and consuming food will be provided for all children whilst complying with all legislative requirements.

Please note: Chips, lollies, chocolate, nuts and popcorn are inappropriate foods for Pre-School. Donuts and chocolates would be suitable for a birthday treat.

This policy will provide guidelines for the provision of safe, varied and inviting food that is of nutritional benefit to the children, and caters for the individual needs of the children attending the Pre-School.

Food and drink to be provided by the Pre-School.

Rangeview Pre-School will provide water to the children as part of the program.

Children are required to bring a snack or a snack and lunch, depending on the length of the session, for consumption during the program.

On an occasional basis, the Pre-School will provide food that has been produced through food related activities involving the children.

Food may be provided by parents/guardians for celebrations such as birthdays, in line with the Pre-School's guidelines for celebrations.
