About R.P.D.S. - Mission Statement A non profit, volunteer team to help provide Internet access for low income housebound mobility disabled people on the Mornington Peninsula and surrounds.

To assist the mobility disabled, elderly disabled (through "Housebound & Elderly Citizens Online") and their carers to have access to the Internet so they can be better informed about advocacy, home help and in house care, professional services, living skills, support groups, chat groups, online education and leisure.

"Internet Empowerment" will be a bridge for participants to a better perspective of community. RPDS Internet program will facilitate community participation and self help education by increasing knowledge and access to resources.

RPDS is collaborating with the ParaQuad Victoria and also Frankston Community Net 2000. Please support these organizations whenever you can.

AIMS:

  • provide computers and modems to facilitate Internet access and education
  • provide a web site with details of areas to obtain information
  • foster chat groups
  • bring together those in the community willing to volunteer support either financially or their time
  • provide a conduit to help communication with Agencies who by legislation are there to provide a service to their customers
  • provide links to the professional groups that are able to help.
