Stanley Barker

Stanley Barker, born in Oakleigh on 6 February 1946. Attended Dandenong East Primary School and Dandenong High School until year 11. Worked in the Bank of New South Wales at Dandenong, and Sale for 4 years before leaving to travel overseas. After 4 years travel, returned in 1970 and worked in Personnel with Civil Aviation. Married Gail Latchford on 12 October 1984.

Joined the Victorian State Government in 1998 in Dept. of Natural Resources & Environment. 'Retired' to undertake a Diploma in Conservation & Land Management in 2007 at RMIT, Melbourne.

Interests include Friends of Herring Island and writing web pages.
