Julia Roberts nee Silva

Julia was born in Sydney on the 16th April 1847. Her parents were Joseph Silva, a bootmaker and her mother was Selina Silva, formerly Serong. Julia's mother was born in Madeira, Portugal.

Juliana Silva married John Roberts on the 22nd April 1866 at the Roman Catholic Church Warrnambool. His occupation was a carrier and hers was a housekeeper at the time of their marriage. They had nine children by their marriage. They lived at Orford where he was a farmer.

They lived at Orford until they died. They are both buried at Port Fairy. John died at Orford on the 20th May 1928 at the age of 83 years, and Julia died on the 14th February 1929.
