John was born November 1845.

John married Juliana Silva on the 22nd April 1866 at the Roman Catholic Church Warrnambool. His occupation was a carrier and hers was a housekeeper at the time of their marriage. They had nine children by their marriage. They lived at Orford where he was a farmer.

They lived at Orford until they died. They are both buried at Port Fairy. John died at Orford on the 20th May 1928 at the age of 83 years, and Julia died on the 14th February 1929.
