Rowville Baptist
Celebrating Christmas
Throughout December we celebrate the awesome event of God coming into our world in Jesus Christ. This year we are introducing a new opportunity for Christmas joy. On Christmas Day a fantastic team of volunteers will be providing a traditional Christmas meal with gifts for children. We are offering this as a FREE gift to our community, especially those who would otherwise spend the day alone or struggle to provide for a celebration. Transport can be arranged if needed. We need to know numbers for catering, so if you want to come to the lunch, please phone the Church Office (9764 4242) by Dec.9. Places are limited. If any local businesses wish to contribute to this lunch, we would be happy to hear from you.
We invite all readers to join us in reflecting on Christmas and rejoicing in the hope it gives us today. You are welcome to participate in any of these events:
• Men’s Breakfast @ Samir’s (Dec.3) - an opportunity to find some mates for the journey of life;
• Friendship Club Luncheon (Dec.8) - a catered lunch for seniors;
• Family Service (Dec.11) - a morning of worship for all generations focusing on Christmas;
• Carolling around Stud Park (Dec.17&24) - join us in singing carols to remind shoppers of the real meaning of Christmas;
• Carol Service (Dec.18) - a morning of Christmas music as we reflect on “The Heart of God”.
Our Christmas Morning Service will run from 9-10am. Start your Christmas Day recognising the real meaning of it all. For more information on any of these events or on how Rowville Baptist might enrich your life, contact the Church Office (ph.9764 4242 or email rowbapt@bigpond.net.au).
