This award winning book, launched by Professor Geoffrey Blainey on 20 October, has been so warmly received by our readers that all but a few copies of the first edition have been sold. We have ordered a reprint and hope to have extra copies available by the time this edition reaches you in early December.
The book will make a great Christmas present so include it on your shopping list. But be sure to buy early as the books will go quickly. You can get your copy at the Rowville Library, Neighbourhood House or the Customer Service Centre.
R-LC News AGM at Stamford Park
The 24th AGM of the News was held at Stamford Park on 21st November with over 30 supporters present including parliamentarians and councillors.
The President, Bryan Power, reported on the achievements of a successful year, singling out the celebrations of Rowville’s Centenary as a particular highlight.
Following the meeting Bryan conducted a tour of Stamford House after which a supper, featuring a large centenary cake made by Glynis Allan, was enjoyed.
