Comment:   My friends and I continue our efforts for your release, Heather. We feel great shame that we live in a place where a sister can suffer such abuse, cruelty and injustice.

Comment:   It is a strange world we live in. It's time things changed. Women are not objects to be ordered around by males. I was reading your story in the Women Against Violence: Issue six and the next thing I came to work to find your letter of support. I have been reading in this D/V article a lot about women who have been ignored when crying out for help. When darkness falls and your left scared and alone with someone who commits crimes ag

Comment:   I am deeply shaken by what Heather has endured. I know what its like to live in a home of fear. Fear prevents us from fighting back and sometimes when we do - its fear not wisdom that propels us to survive. As I read her story, my old fear resurfaces and frightens me into thinking that I can't help that it hurts to remember. But I pray that I can overcome this selfishness to help this betrayed woman of our legal system.

Comment:   I am a Community & Human Services student and first found out about Heather's situation in my first year of study when I signed the petition to set her free. No one should have to suffer daily abuse the way Heather & her children did & I am in full support of her being released. To the members of The Heather support group I give you the most credit and the biggest applause & wish you all the best.

Comment:   I am a law student that first heard about Heather's case 3 years ago. It saddens me to think that years later her suffering continues and that nothing has changed with the lack of protection the legal system affords victims of terrible domestic violence. My full support goes out to the campaign to free Heather.

Comment:   Today I am holding a film afternoon at our local uni, it is a short doco on Heather, called The Last Line of Defence. The site was of great help to me in updating her tragic story. By showing this film I hope will ensure that more people hear of her fight.
