Comment:   I find it so hard to believe that over the years you and your family suffered, so little was ever done to help and protect you from that monster. I am appalled that you need to go to such lengths to clear your name and be released when you were only doing the one thing that could end your misery. You have all my support and best wishes.

Comment:   Hi my name is tracey. I'm 16 and am reading your story for a project in my leagal studies class at school. I wanted to write and say I think that this is horrible, my mum was bashed by my dad to but luckily she got away. I really hope you get out soon and I would have done the same being in your position. It's time woman stuck up for themselves, and it's about time the law agreed with me.

Comment:   I give Heather all my sympathy as a former mentally & physically abused wife. I was lucky. The bastard found someone else and left me. I heard he was looking for me again. But I have since married and have a wonderful husband. I doubt if I'll ever run into that prick again. I hope you are set free. It's a pity Women aren't stronger physically. To be able to fight a coward like that.
