Comment: Dear Heather, I am 14, and have just read your story and i am shocked and appauled that the justice system has failed you so comprehensively. I know that if I was in that situation I would have done the same, I cannot understand why you have been charged so severely. My family and I will add our voices to those fighting for your release. Good Luck!

Comment: I have known Heather for a short time and there is no better way to describe her than sensitive, caring and loyal, compassionate person than Heather. After all she's been through, she still finds the time to console and be there for others in their time of need. Frank was inhumane and so is the government if they deny Heather the chance to finally have a life of her own... and not one of obedience and control.

Comment: I truly hope that this appeal is successful, a woman who has been through so much pain and suffering in her life, should not have to go through anymore, just for ensuring that these atrocities do not happen to any others. Good luck Heather I hope you are free to be with your loved ones soon!

Comment: Dear Heather, Don't give up. This country is full of women who know something of what you have suffered. I and my friends and family are all writing and sending emails to those who have a responsibility as decent human beings to set you free. I would have done the same thing in your position. It is time that women were accorded equality under the law in this so-called civilised country. I am appalled by the cowardice of the police who refused to help you, and by the blind stu

Comment: I have recently become aquainted with your campaign because of the supporter's kit made available at our community health centre. Reading heather's story made me feel physically ill. I was traumatised by what I had read - but realised this was so very insignificant compared to what Heather has been through. This situation - of an innocent person imprisoned is more reminiscient of political prisoners in China or Burma and a call to people in power to have a lon

Comment: After reading the story on Heather yet once again, it still saddens me to know she is still in prison and has to fight for freedom. Heather served her sentence long before she went to jail. No human being should have to put up with what Heather had too, and to think that when she asked for help from the police it was not forth coming, that alone was disastrous. It does not give you faith in the system at all. I hope this appeal being her last is successful.

Comment: I am dismayed at the number of recent advertisements for webpages etc. without adding an acknowledgement of why this website came into existence. I will trust that these advertisers will let other people know of Heather Osland's unjust length of term incarceration and endeavour to pressure for her release by doing more. My admiration continues for Heather's group of supporters who have never given up and yes, I will, once more write to the Premier and other Ministers - the reply letters over w

Comment: Dear Heather, I believe that you have been dealt with in a very harsh manner by our so called justice system. Those who have not experience domestic violence in some form especially males do not understand the circumstances to which it can lead too. Until the ones that hold the power in our country take off their blindfolds and give up the notion that it is far worse for a woman especially a married one to stand up and defend against a ma

| Comment: Dear Heather My Dad's family went through here life been bashed and hit and I hate him for that. Good on you for sticking up for yourself. AND I hope you get out because no one should have to go through with that and I think that this legal system should be burnt because you should not have to go through life like that then sent to jail .
