Red Hill Fire Brigade (RHFB) is a long serving fire brigade serving the Red Hill area on the Morninigton Peninsula, Victoria, Australia.
Servicing the local community since 1940, the RHFB has saved many homes and properties, many thousands of hectares of native bushland that otherwise would be have been burnt.
This website aims to educate the local community about the Red Hill fire brigade.
It also aims to provide information to current members in the "Whats New" section with information on meetings, training and other important matters.

1940:Red Hill Fire Brigade was formed on the 23rd of March 1940. Rob Holmes was elected as captain with George Jarman as secretary and George Higgins as president.
1946: An Ex-army truck was purchased and fitted with a water tank and hand pump. In 1948 the truck was painted red and fitted with a larger tank.
1952-54:Members felt there was a need for a place to store trucks and equipment and as a meeting place. A site was selected on the Red Hill railway reserve near Pt. Leo Rd. A Nissen hut was erected on the site.
1955:Rob Holmes retires as captain, Geoff Hansford takes his place.
1958:Brigade holds first ball - not only a fund raiser but also for presentation of awards. This tradition continues only the date has been changed to the Melbourne Cup Eve.
1964: An Austin fire truck is supplied by the C.F.A.
1965:The Ladies Auxiliary is formed and provides the brigade with much needed fundraising and catering during fires.
1968:Junior Fire Brigade is formed to encourage young people to become fire fighters.
1971-72:Lease on current land is obtained (Lot 2 Mechanics Rd). New station is opened 5th November 1972.
1988-90:Station is expanded to now have a meeting room, full kitchen, radio room and a 3 truck garage.

Red Hill Fire station is located at lot 2 Mechanics Rd Red Hill.
The station has a full kitchen, meeting room and radio room as well as many storage areas.
Extensions are planned for next year to extend the building with a larger training room and office.
Construction is set to commence Feb 2007.
The station has the ability to be run off a generator in times when no power is available.
