Meetings will be cancelled on any nights when POWER RESTRICTIONS in the area are in force.
Field excursions will be cancelled on days of TOTAL FIRE BANS in the proposed excursion areas.

  Speaker:  David Van Bockel, “A Ranger's perspective on the fires and bushfire recovery”
   
16th May (Saturday)    EXCURSION:  The Gurdies (combined excursion with Peninsula FNC)
 
Meet at 11am in the top carpark, left off Bass Highway on Gurdies-St Helier road for 4.2km then right into Dunbabbin road for the picnic area.   (Melways 612  R9/10)

A Quick Flit around the Solar System Part 2 (Judith Cooke); Volcanoes in Hawaii (Roger Needham); Flinders Ranges and environs (Jack Airey). Plate of supper please.
   
13th June (Saturday)    EXCURSION:
  Breakfast with the lyrebirds. Meet at 7.15am at O’Donohue Picnic Ground in the Dandenongs.  (Melway 75 G3)

12th July (Sunday)    EXCURSION: Hawkstowe Park, South Morang.
  Meet in carpark by toilets at Red Gums Picnic Area at 10.30am.  (Melways 183 H7)

26th July (Sunday)    FIELD CARE DAY: Pound Bend.
  David van Bockel will meet us at Pound Bend Picnic area at 10.00am until noon (Planting local flora, some Smilax pull).
