The primary concern of the Ringwood Field Naturalists Club Inc.
is to provide opportunities for members to develop their own
particular interests in natural history and to pass on knowledge
and experience acquired to others. The Club, based in
the State of Victoria, Australia, has affiliations with the
Field Naturalists Club of Victoria and with other local Field Naturalists
Clubs throughout the State. Reciprocal invitations to Club
functions offer opportunities to meet with members from other
Clubs for the interchange of experience and ideas.
Monthly meetings provide a forum for the exchange of information,
through the presentation of photographs, exhibits, and reports
on items of interest. The highlight of the evening is
a talk given by a guest speaker who may be a Club member or a
visitor with expertise in a particular field. Topics are
varied and there is always something new to be learned. Subjects
such as : "Birds and Bird Calls", "Geology of Broken Hill", "Heaths",
"Australian Bush Food", "Bryophytes", "Plant Names", "Victorian
Orchids", "Palaeontology" and "Marine Zoology" have been included
in the programme in recent times.
If you would like to participate in our programme, please contact
us or attend one of our meetings.
