The New Millennium
is the Statewide Summer Reading Club run throughout all public libraries across Victoria, Australia. Members of this club enjoy fun, activities, reading, collecting stickers and bookmarks, and joining in competitions with great prizes.
Who can join and how?
The Club is for school-age children and you can join at your closest public library anywhere in Victoria.

Here is how it works:

    1. Sign up for the Club at your nearest library and collect your reading kit.
    2. Borrow some books and read, read, read!
    3. Visit the library with your log book to collect stickers and bookmarks and join in any activities the library may be having.
    4. After reading 10 books you go into a draw for the statewide competition where there are books, book vouchers and 10 gameboys to be won!

When is it on?
Blast Off Into The New Millennium will run from late November through to the end of January 2000. So you can still join up and complete the Blast Off even if you are going away on holidays.

To have even more fun, why not participate in our Internet competition. Enjoy Tony Sowersby's wonderful pictures, solve the puzzles, collect the password, and write this mystery word on your reading log sheet. Drop your reading log sheet into your nearest public library to enter!
