YOUTH EXCHANGE
PROGRAM
Each year
Rotary Youth Exchange provides thousands of young people
worldwide with an opportunity to experience the cultures
and accomplishments of people in other countries.
The
ambassadorial nature of the exchange promotes world
understanding and peace.
Youth
Exchange is an official program of Rotary International
and allows around 8000 students to exchange annually to
around 60 different countries.
A year of
study overseas as a Rotary Youth Exchange student gives
you -
Rotary Policy
Rotary International, in line
with its objective to provide the best student
exchange programme is developing a worldwide
Certification process for all participating clubs
and the necessary infrastructure of the programme.
As part of its working with youth policy, the Board
of Rotary International has made the following
statement as a Code of Conduct
Statement of Conduct for Working with Youth:
Rotary
International strives to create and maintain a safe
environment for all youth who participate in Rotary
activities. Rotarians, Rotarian's spouses, and
partners, and other volunteers must safeguard the
children and young people they come into contact
with and protect them from physical, sexual, and
emotional abuse'.
