The Secretary of a rotary club, such
as Kew on Yarra, undertakes a variety of
administrative duties to ensure that the club
functions efficiently, appropriate records are
maintained and reporting requirements are met. For
example, the Secretary:
-
maintains the membership and
correspondence records,
-
prepares and circulates the
agenda and papers for formal meetings of the
Club and the Board,
-
records and preserves the minutes
of such meetings,
-
makes the required reports to
Rotary International, the Department of Consumer
Affairs and others,
-
is the Club's Public Officer.
As Secretary, there is always
something to do but plenty of satisfaction too.
A copy of the
Constitution, Rules and Bylaws approved by the
members of the Club on 21 November 2007 is attached for the
information of members and visitors to this site.
