DESCRIPTION:
A Friend, of the Rotary Club of Kew
on Yarra, is any person of “worthy” stature, who feels,
for one or more reasons, is not in a position to
consider formal membership, however, would like to
assist, when possible, with the club’s humanitarian
activities.
These Friends will have an awareness
of the Rotary principle of “Service above Self” and
share the Four Way Test, which is the embodiment of what
guides a Rotarians thoughts and deeds. It asks every
member to consider:
-
Is it the TRUTH?
-
Is it FAIR to all
concerned?
-
Will it build
GOODWILL and BETTER RELATIONSHIPS?
-
Will it be BENEFICIAL
to all concerned?
SCOPE OF PARTICIPATION:
Because a Friend of Rotary is not a
formal club member, they are not bound by the club’s
constitution and by-laws, cannot vote on any matter put
before club members, nor hold office. However, they will

club event
-
Assist in any activity which occurs outside club
meetings which are directed to community or
other humanitarian service.
