The Rotary Club of Kew on Yarra
currently has 24 members, coming from a variety of business and
professional backgrounds.
The Club was chartered by the
Rotary Club of Kew as the Rotary Club of Kew East in 1986 but
subsequently changed its focus to the part of Kew adjoining the
River Yarra. For this reason, we changed our name to "Kew on
Yarra" to recognise the geographic area served by the Club. The
name also reflects that the Club's meeting place is by the
river, at the Amora Hotel in Bridge Road, Richmond.
The Yarra Bend National Park sits
in the middle of the area served by the Club. The Park is a
beautiful section of Australian bushland, and park visitors can
be forgiven for forgetting that they are in the middle of a
metropolitan area with a population approaching four million.

Kew on Yarra belongs to the
"Yarra Cluster" of clubs, which also includes the Rotary clubs
of Kew, Hawthorn and Glenferrie. Relations between the four
Clubs have always been close, supportive and friendly. The
Cluster collaborates on a number of projects, including the "Boroondara
Paper", an annual event involving a presentation by an eminent
person on an issue affecting the Boroondara Community.
