2008 Give It a Go at Alexandra Gardens

The 2008 Give It A Go event was sponsored by the Lord Mayor's Charitable Foundation and the Rotary Club of Flemington. Designed to promote a healthy lifestyle for children, it promoted many different sports and leisure activities. The event, held in the Alexandra Gardens beside the Yarra River featured a concert with Bindi Irwin and the Crocmen from Australia Zoo in Queensland.

Rtn Bob Crozier of the Rotary Club of Kew erected a Shelterbox tent to display this well known and successful Rotary project originated by the Rotary Club of Helston-Lizard (UK) and supported by clubs around the world.

PDG Vance Hilton was on hand to supply information on Rotary and the role of Rotary Down Under.
PP Paul Perrottet displays a Giant child's push bike, kindly donated  by Giant  Bicycles  and arranged through Flemington Cycles Pty Ltd  which was raffled during the day.

Rtn Chris Drenan and Rosemary were kept busy selling ice creams on a hot 32 degree day
