Murrumbeena Seasonal Community Market – Saturdays, 2012
This Award winning, indoor, boutique, village style Murrumbeena Seasonal Community Market is operated by the Rotary Club of Caulfield, with assistance from the Rotaract Club of Monash University (Caulfield), in collaboration with Koornang Uniting Church. Both the Club and the Church have a strong sustainability focus, so stallholders selling eco-products and home produced goods are sought. The Club won the Rotary International District 9800 Environment Awards for 2010 and 2011.
Dates: Autumn - 14 April, Winter - 14 July, Spring - 6 October, Summer and Festive Season - 8 December
Time: 9am to 2pm
Location: Koornang Uniting Church,117 Murrumbeena Road, Murrumbeena. ( Melways 69A5)
Products sold and sought: Art, Books, Cakes, Cards, Confectionary, Babies and Children’s clothes, Toys, Cosmetics, Eco-friendly products, Fresh Produce, Fair Trade Foods, Gourmet foods-chutneys, jams and preserves, Eco-friendly products including hair products, Embroidered items, Handcrafts, Honey and Bee products, Jewellery, Quilts, Reconstructed Fashion-bags, clothing and jewellery, Bath and Body products, Plants.
Entertainment: Face Painting for Children, Live Entertainment and relax meandering around the well-established Community Garden.
Refreshments: Sausage Sizzle (operated by the Church Youth Group) and the Market Café (operated by Riff Raff Catering run by Yooralla).
Community Groups: A diverse range of Community groups have been able to fundraise by selling merchandise at the Market.

New Stallholders: New stallholders welcome to apply to participate. Commercial Fresh Produce and Plant producers invited to apply. Application forms available upon request.

BEE AWARE PROJECT - Tuesday 28th February, 2012
The Honey Bee in Australia is under threat from several different diseases and mites. The Rotary Club of Caulfield is promoting simple steps which urban householders can undertake to assist in maintaining healthy honey bee populations. There is also renewed interest in individual bee keeping. To enable those interested to learn more, the Club is hosting the Glen Eira Bee Interest Group Meeting.

MASKED TWILIGHT TEA DANCE - Saturday 31st March, 2012
This intergenerational event was a hit in 2011 and with support from the City of Glen Eira and assistance from the Rotaract Club of Monash University (Caulfield), will be hosted by the Club in 2012. Dress up in your After Five finery, brush up on your waltz and Latin American dance styles and join the throng for an evening of laughter and dance.
