CEMETERY
We have financed the building of two shelters at the cemetery. The Club plays an active role in maintaining these and a section of the grounds.
SHELTER BOX
We support this project of Rotary International to bring relief to victims of natural disaster. Each Shelter Box contains a ten man tent, cooking equipment and water purification tablets. Depending on the area of disaster, it may contain thermal blankets, sleeping bags, mosquito nets and other essentials. The boxes are stored where they may be rapidly deployed to disaster areas and are accompanied by trained Rotarians to assist in their use.
Rotary Shelter Boxes were the first aid permitted to enter Burma following the disastrous floods of 2008.
