Quollity LETS

LETS stands for Local Exchange Trading System.
There are hundreds of LETS all over Australia.

Quollity LETS is a group of around 60 people who exchange skills.
Our members live in the southern and bayside suburbs of Melbourne.
Melbourne is in the State of Victoria in Australia.

So Amy teaching computer skills, Bob doing gardening and Chris doing massages,
earn points which they can ‘spend’ on anything else LETS provides.
This might be anything from accounting to yoga.

The exchange need not be a direct swap of skills because
points are credited or debited in a central ‘bank’.
We call the points we use "quolls". One quoll is usually roughly equivalent to a dollar.

How does it work?

You find who does the job you want in the Pink Pages Directory
- or -
Someone asks you to do some work for them

You agree on a rate for the job, in points (usually one point is roughly equivalent to one dollar)

The points for the job are transferred between your account and the other account through the central ‘bank’

Those points can be used by you to pay for another exchange

Yearly membership is $25 for a single person or $35 for a household, plus everyone contributes 10 points per month (or one hour’s work) towards administration

Concession rates are available: $15 single or $25 household.
