Kilmore Quilters Quilt Show
Kilmore Quilters have their Bi-ennial Quilt Show scheduled for the 12th and 13th of October.
Kilmore Memorial Hall, Sydney Street, Kilmore.
10am - 4pm. Entry: $5.00
We plan to have over 100 quilts on display along with our popular stage display.
There will be traders tables, plenty of yummy slices and biscuits to purchase for morning and afternoon tea, along with a choice of lunch options.
We will have our challenge quilts on display. Viewers choice, raffle quilts and door prizes.
Traders booked for the quilt show are Threads and Tangles from Heathcote and Mrs Martins from Emerald.
First Look at our Raffle Quilts
Our raffle quilts have been quilted, we will soon have our tickets ready for sale. Members at our February gathering were shown the finished products - we have a first and second prize quilt this year. Many thanks to those members who came along to our very special sit and sew last year to get a great head start on these quilts. A special thanks to those of you who completed the quilts ready for Rhonda to Quilt. And once again a big thankyou to our resident longarm quilter Rhonda Coates for the wonderful work you did on the quilting. Here is a first look at the result (improved photos to follow shortly)

Kilmore Quilters Quilt Challenge 2013
Our challenge this year is "Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed and Something Blue". This challenge will be judged by Viewers Choice at our Quilt Show.
Entries should measure no more than one metre square. Any technique may be used as long as it is a quilted object ie 3 layers quilted together.

Classes
Several classes have been planned for this year with preference given to members for places in the class. Expressions of interest have been taken. Dates and prices for the classes are published in the Kilmore Quilters newsletter. Places may become available to non-members closer to the date of the classes.
Kilmore Quilters Retreat
Kilmore Quilters next retreat will be in May 2013. As the venue has proven to be popular with those members who attend the retreat it will once agin be held in Maldon. All places for 2013 have currently been filled, however, we will create a waiting list with preferences going to Kilmore Quilters members. If there is enought demand we will consider scheduling a second retreat for later in the year.
