I had a career in science teaching and teacher training in England and then with UNESCO, mainly in Tanzania and Iran, giving me a deep appreciation of culture and history. Now retired I have spent eight years striving to be competent and creative in this wonderfully sharing company of craftsmen.
Here are some bowls I have loved turning.

1 A lidded bowl in Australian walnut - a fascinating grain. |

2 A lidded bowl in lignum vitae, a very hard wood with interesting grain. A bevilled glass in the lid with a pewter possum figure acts as a handle. |

3 A fun bowl in pine with a ‘woodworm' filling in a knot hole. |

4 A bowl with agate in the lid, the agate made circular with a glass diamond cutter and a little glass figure panning for gold. |
