Start by turning base components as shown below The diagrams
will show the steps required..
Use a Forstner bit to hollow centre . Drill recess in the base to
suit 'D". Part "B. must slide freely within "A" Part "C. needs to be
a snug fit into part "B"
The spigots on parts "C" and "D" will need to be turned to suit the
bore of the spring and should be a neat fit. Turn neck, legs, feet
and tail to the required diameter then drill using drill bit "to suit
strings".
You will need strong thin string and a darning needle to suit.
Glue part "D" into part "A".. Thread cat components together, then
pass the thread through parts "A" and `'C".
You will need help to tie off the thread which should be tensioned by
the spring When you are happy glue part "B" to "C" then finish to
your preference.
