The Port Fairy Community House runs a range of
activities that aim to reflect the needs and interests of the local
community. Situated in the old stationmaster’s house in Railway Place,
we offer occasional childcare, computer classes, a range of creative
and well-being classes, a community market and computer and Internet
access. We are also an Adult and Community Education (ACE) provider,
offering non-accredited courses.
The Community House is overseen by an elected Committee of Management,
which oversees the operations of the Community Group. The committee is
drawn from various working groups and the wider community. Go to committee page
Volunteers are critical in the effective running of the House. Areas in
which volunteers contribute include gardening, maintenance,
administration and office duties. We are constantly on the look out for
keen volunteers and welcome enquiries. Email House Co-ordinator
