Small not-for-profit activity groups become
members of the Port Fairy Community Group Inc. in order to establish
themselves and receive a moral "boost". Incorporation greatly assists a
small group's scope for grant application, and provides them with
access to facilities, advice, expertise, and a free meeting place. It
also means that, while the group is part of the Incorporation, their
official activities will be covered by the Port Fairy Community Group
Inc.'s public liability insurance.

University of the 3rd Age meeting.
Eligibility for incorporation requires that the
group demonstrate to the House Committee of Management that their
activities are not-for-profit, and provide a benefit to the community.
