CITATION:
“Ted Goode is a long-standing member of the Victorian Branch of the
Proportional Representation Society of Australia. He has long been a prolific
writer of letters to newspapers keeping the concept of proportional
representation in front of readers on many occasions when an opportunity has
presented itself, which is an activity that has set an excellent example for
other members of the Society.
Ted, who worked as a graphics designer in the
advertising industry before he retired many years ago, made his most visibly
outstanding and enduring contribution to the Society when he designed the
Society’s distinctive blue and white logo, which we all recognize from its
presence on the masthead of each issue of the Society’s quarterly newsletter, Quota
Notes, on our letterhead, and now at the top of the Society’s Web site.
If appointed, Mr Edward Goode will be the only
Honorary Life Member of the Branch. The only other Honorary Life Member ever
appointed was the late Sir Ronald East, Kt, CBE.”
