| Jenny Boult was born in England,
went to high school in Perth, WA and lived in Adelaide, SA from 1977 to
1994. She now lives in Tasmania.
Her first book of poetry, ~the hotel anonymous~ (bent enterprises 1981), was the co-winner of the Anne Elder Award in 1981. Other books include ~the white rose & the bath~ (Friendly Street Poets, 1984), ~Flight 39~ (Abalone Pres, 1986), ~'i' is a versatile character~ (Words & Visions, 1986), and ~About Auntie Rose~ (Puffin 1988), a colleciton of poetry for children. Jenny Boult's poetry is well represented in anthologies in Australia and overseas. Her plays have been performed in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney. She has performed her own work at major festivals in capital cities and country centres, and been writer-in-residence with such organisations as the Adelaide Festival Centre and the Tasmanian Arts Council. She has facilitated workshops and readings in over 400 schools. |
