AHAG (Aids Housing Action Group)

AHAG is a community based, non-profit organisation offering a statewide confidential housing service for people living with HIV/AIDS.

The John R Stroop (JRS) Housing Association is the landlord, managing a number of properties. AHAG provides an In-Home Support Service for JRS tenants.

The In-Home Support Service assists people who are primarily affected by cognitive or physical impairment and who require ongoing supervision and care. The service draws upon existing generic and HIV-specific services, and on paid attendant care. All applications for the service are assessed on an individual needs basis. The type of care and support that an applicant may require is determined by the applicant and the Program's Care Co-ordinator.
