Saying Sorry - Broken Relationships

Recovering ©

By Paul McCann

I'm sorry we're going separate ways.

No one's to blame.

It's how it is these days.

Death and divorce have a similar sting.

Life never leaves,

It's just recovering.

A New Day ©

By Paul McCann

I'm sorry the vows we took were broken.

An empty sigh for the words spoken.

It wasn't better and it wasn't worse.

The marriage contract has been reimbursed.

The love we had is just locked up in time.

Another day must come.

The sun will shine.

Love asks for nothing in return,

the only thing I would like to say,

Is I'm sorry love means nothing more than

Photos of a wedding day.

I'm Sorry Now ©

By Paul McCann

I'm sorry for not understanding, son.

I realize now it's over and done;

That it's too late

when a Father is dead

to say sorry for the things I have said.
