City of Port Phillip - Citizen of the Year 2005

Heather Wale has been awarded City of Port Phillip Citizen of the Year for 2005.

A foundation and volunteer for the Port Melbourne Historical and Preservation Society Heather has also volunteered her time of the past 20 years to various Port organisations. She helps out in the canteen at Port Melbourne Football Club as well as helping the Cricket Club, working in the tuck shop at Port Melbourne Primary School and visiting residents at South Port Nursing Home.

Although the photo shows Heather on top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, she is a Port girl through and through and never stays too long away from her home. Heather loves the Borough and for so many reasons, the Borough loves her.
