Future Plans for the Wetlands

Edithvale:
The area on the south side of Edithvale Road will remain much as it is today as a natural area for wildlife.

The Wetland on the north side of Edithvale Road will be considerably modified to create a wetland park that includes:

- Deep and shallow lagoons.
- Massive revegetation.
- A system of pathways, boardwalks and bird hides.
- A viewing tower.
- Picnic areas.

Seaford:
Seaford Wetlands will continue to be improved in line with a master plan that provides for:

- A shared walkway cum bike path circling the Reserve.
- Acquisition of the privately owned land south of the Eel Race.
- Extensive tree planting.
- Picnic and parking areas.
- Creation of a woodland area in northern area.
- Viewing mounds and bird hides.

Become a Friend - you'll find it wonderfully rewarding.
