| A restaurant in the sea just off Mothers' Beach, at the east side of Mornington Harbour, was proposed in 1983. A campaign by Port Phillip Conservation Council Inc, assisted by a ban placed by the Federated Furnishing Trades Society of Australasia on installing windows in the restaurant, led, after our submission to the then Minister, Hon. Rod McKenzie MLA, to the abandonment of what would have been a degrading exploitation of Mothers' Beach. |
