RESIGNATION OF JON CALDERWOOD AS RECTOR FROM THE END OF 2012 The Board has accepted, with reluctance, the resignation of Jon Calderwood from his position as Rector of Peterhouse, with effect from the end of 2012. Jon is about to complete 30 years as a Headmaster; of these, 28 years have been with our Group of Schools. He was the founding Headmaster of Springvale House for 9 years, then Headmaster of Peterhouse Girls for 8 years. For the 11 years Jon has been an outstanding Rector of the Peterhouse Group. This length and level of service is unprecedented in the educational sector, and he has guided us through very challenging times in Zimbabwe. Jon has not yet made any firm plans for next year; we are all grateful to him for his outstanding service to Peterhouse and wish him well for the future. The Board has started the search for a new Rector of Peterhouse. Stuart Mattinson
