OF PETERHOUSE
The
Humphrey Gibbs Centre
was the opened by Sir Roger Gibbs, Sir Humphrey's nephew, on Speech
Day, 1 November 1996. It forms a new quadrangle, with the much smartened
up Administration Block forming one side, the Chapel makes the second side,
the third side consists of the new Administration section (Rector's Study,
offices, reception area, careers rooms, board room etc) and the fourth
side, next to Malvern contains four classrooms and
the Molly Gibbs centre which provides a base for the senior girls studying
on the boys' side of the main road.
The school is very much indebted to all who donated to the project in memory of Sir Humphrey Gibbs, who was an all round friend, supporter, parent, member of the Board of Governors and participant in the successes of Peterhouse over many years and the tradition that it stands for
Most of the money was raised in the United Kingdom and the generosity of the donors is gratefully acknowledged.
