Greater Shepparton Botanic Gardens Ass.Inc

This slide show is about Parkside Gardens in
the City of Greater Shepparton in Northern Victoria .
It was known as the Shepparton International Village.

Many of these images you will see were shown to
3 Heritage Council Members during a Hearing conducted by Heritage Victoria in 2004.

Following the Hearing, Heritage Victoria recommended to the Greater Shepparton City Council, that the entire park be protected by a local Heritage overlay.

The current council has deliberately neglected this 21 hectare park and the buildings over many years.
Most of the buildings have now been destroyed by Council to make way for a 150 lot housing estate.

We must wonder about the competency of any Councillors who vote to deliberately destroy a part of the Heritage of the city in which they live.
