Challenges For Providing Services

The Office of the Public Advocate and Wesley Central Mission in their recent publication, "No Easy Answers" identified issues, which challenge the provision of services to parents with disabilities. Among these are the need for services and agencies, to collaborate and work together in order to better meet the needs of parents with disabilities.

The contributions of both government and non-government services to supporting families with a parent who has a disability needs to be properly recognized as an important part of the overall community support system; a system that requires the cooperation of many agencies and services.
