Finding "Key-Pals"

Looking for keypals? For years language learners all around the world have been using traditional mail systems to meet people and practise their language skills with 'pen-pals'.

Now you can use the world wide web and email to find people anywhere in the world and get to know them as 'key-pals' - using the keyboard instead of the pen.

  • @lbe electronic is a student e-magazine based at the Duke Street Community House in Sunshine. There are a couple of pages with students looking for key pals and links to other e-pal sites.
  • Dave's ESL Cafe has a page for students to add their name and email address to the database.
  • The Exchange_Index also has a page where you can leave your e-mail address, and details about your interests.
  • ITS-online-keypals is an electronic magazine with a page for finding 'electronic friends'. The magazine is laid out with the contents across the top. A good looking 'zine.
  • The Stolaf Network has pages devoted to 'Intercultural E-Mail Classroom Connections', but it isn't very easy to read.
  • Mighty Media KeyPals Club
  • Comenius E-Mail Key Pals charges a subscription fee. Three key pals for about fifteen dollars.
  • International Tandem Network.
