illusion

Modern art is influenced greatly in the 90's by optical illusion. Illusion in the form of lighting and colour.

Through light beaming across glass screens we view many images.

It is important to understand that illusion is a major part of our culture today.

A video screen is a fairly hi-tech optical illusion of millions of colours. Illusions are not just delightful to watch but also beautiful and full of wisdom.

The more we learn about light and our own eye's perception, the more we learn to distrust our eyes. In Reality We Can Only Trust Our Eyes About 85%. Which Puts New Meaning To "I'll Believe It When I See It". When the first motion picture was shown to a public audience in the early 1920's, people believed it as being real.

A film of a train racing towards the audience was shown, without sound, and in black and white. The audience had never seen anything like it before, so they perceived what was showing on the screen to be real. When in fact it was nothing more that a series of slides being projected one after the other over a period of a few seconds.

So when a person is right at guessing about 65% of the time, this must then be a fairly reliable gift, seeing that we can only really rely on our eyes about 85%. Considering that the task of guessing is not practiced or learned in the early years of a person' life at school, there could be a much higher potential correct guessing rate. INTUITION
