The chair senses movement using infrared light that is emitted from the armrests. The variable data generated by your arms movement is then fed into the audio/visual system that the chair (and you) is part of.

The chair was designed and built by Olaf Meyer. The project was completed without any external funding. The infra red sensors were designed in Melbourne by Paul Perry.
