STATEMENT

Olaf's latest project, aptly called "Imaginary Space Travel" makes use of custom made human-computer interfaces that are operated without the need for touch. In this project Olaf displays his interpretation of a non-linear story structure, using images and sounds that are composited by the random moment of his viewers through a space.

As the viewer moves about, multiple images and sound layers are changed within an immersive AV composition creating environments which symbolically represent 7 imaginary spaces with the use of character movement and animation based on real-life places. Structure is maintained within the non-linear interactivity by controlling the images and sounds that are selected by the viewer's movement.
