MEMBER
DUTY
As our
toy library is run for its members by its members, all are required to do 4
duties per year, excluding Family Day Carers, Creches, Playgroups, Kinders and
After School Carers. You can choose your dates and times from the roster at the
library. After your duty, please present your card to the Team Leader to sign
the box acknowledging duty performed. All members on duty are entitled to
borrow an extra toy in that session.
Duty entails checking of all returns toys against the inventory on their bags
and marking their catalogue number off the borrower's card. The Team Leader on
duty is there to help, and if you encounter any problems (e.g. missing pieces
or dispute) please refer these to the Team Leader.
· If you find a day or two before your duty date that you need to change,
please help us by finding another person to replace you, or contact our Roster
Co-ordinator (rosters@nunawadingtoylibrary.org.au
or ph 0449 123 889)
· On the morning of your duty and you are not able to come (perhaps due to an
emergency) please contact one of us as above to let us know, leaving a message
if necessary.

WAYS
YOU CAN HELP
• By
supervising your children carefully in the hall and not let them open the toy
bags.
• By not allowing children to sit on or under tables, climb up cupboard shelving
or play with the cupboard doors.
• By returning all toys in a clean and reasonable (refer to the “Care of Toys”
section).
• By supporting fundraising activities - occasionally we have toy displays,
chocolate drives, etc. to raise funds.
• By joining the Toy Library Committee. Without a committee the Toy Library
cannot operate.
• Be a Team Leader – this involves being in charge of a Toy Library session.
Training is provided and it's fun, too! Some of our volunteers see this as a
way of keeping their workforce skills up-to-date
