Each
time you return toys, they are checked and marked off your card. Please report
any problems with the toy to the Committee Member/Team Leader on duty.
Breakage -
if you have broken something, DON'T PANIC! We realise that some toys will
break as a result of normal wear and tear. However, if we consider the
damage to have been caused by misuse, a fine will be charged. If a piece
of a toy has been broken it may need to be repaired in a special way to
ensure it is still safe to use. Please do not attempt repairs yourself.
Lost
pieces - you will be asked to re-borrow the toy for a further two weeks so
as to locate the piece. If not found after that time we have no choice but
to charge a small fine. If the piece is found at a later date, a partial
refund is given. Please see “Schedule of Fees and Fines” posted around the
Library for full detail.
Please
ensure puzzles are securely wrapped upon return to prevent pieces falling
out during storage.
Breakage
or loss of entire toy - the Committee deals with this on a case-by case
basis. Lastly, please do not allow pets to play with our toys.
Safety -
Some toys contain small pieces. Please choose carefully if you have a very
young child. We recommend the use of helmets with tricycles and other
ride-on toys.
