Welcome to the Needlework Tapestry Guild of Victoria Inc website. The Needlework Tapestry Guild was established in 1963. The primary aims of the Guild are to encourage and support stitchers, and promote the craft of needlepoint tapestry throughout Victoria. It provides a forum for people with an interest in the craft to exchange ideas, increase skills and promote public awareness of an ancient craft.

The online Newsletters do not have sample patterns/graphs, but the printed Newsletters often have graphs you can use.

MEETINGS

Meetings are held twice each month (except January), from 11.00am - 3.00pmon the second Wednesday and from 7.30pm - 10.00pm on the third Wednesday. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in needlework.

The annual membership fee is $30.00 (single) or $40.00 (family). A monthly newsletter is sent to all members. Meetings and classes are held at Box Hill Community Arts Centre, and attendance is open to all.

DEMONSTRATIONS

Guild members regularly provide demonstrations of their craft at such venues as the Royal Melbourne Show and Community Festivals. Members of the public are welcome to approach us for information or tips on their own projects. The Guild holds an annual exhibition of needlework, with particular emphasis on needlepoint tapestry. It can also provide static displays at suitable venues (libraries, craft displays, etc).
